LinkedIn to Release New Story Feature
With story features fast becoming the focal point of platforms like Instagram and Snapchat, it seems a natural next step for the business sector.
Currently in a batch testing phase with student users, professional networking mainstay LinkedIn is seeking to set their stories apart by offering 45 second clips-a significant upgrade to Instagram’s 10 second limit. Aside from the time increase and a seven-day lifespan, the other features will resemble those of its predecessors.
The move comes as bid to engage younger users, even before they’re looking ahead to their professional futures. That may be why for the time being, LinkedIn plans to limit the story feature to collegiate use only. The final version is due to roll out in the next few months.
